The man stepping on the U.S. flag, and in the other photos by the Iranian news agency Fars, is Prof. Hamid Molana, an advisor to Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad who holds both Iranian and U.S. citizenship.
On December 23, 2008, Molana introduced his book Iranian Foreign Policy During the Ahmadinejad Presidency.
Molana arranged for Ahmadinejad to speak at Columbia University in September 2007, and has also worked together with Rutgers Professor Hooshang Amirahmadi, another dual U.S.-Iran national, who is founder and president of the American Iranian Council and leader of the initiative to open a U.S. interests office in Tehran.
